Just kind of interesting. (This IS chip related.)

I'm at work the other day (Home Depot), helping a customer with a project, when we walk by our paltry Christmas decorations area. I noticed this display of Buss Fuses.

I stared at it for a while because I couldn't remember where I had seen the name Buss Fuses. A little while later I remembered.

Pretty cool, huh? The Buss chips are small, 23mm in diameter, and are made of a thin, very hard material. Clay? Wood fiber? I'm not sure. These chips must be circa 1940s? I'm thinking Buss Fuses included a few chips in each pack of fuses. The Bussman Division is part of the Cooper Industries Co. now.

Didn't all this just make your day? vbg

Hey Robert Eisenstadt! On the off chance you want this display LMK by posting here. I'm still having issues with my email.
