Having memorised it in groups of 10 digits, I actually know Pi to 320 decimal places, but 314 has the certain quirky appeal to it (yes, I am not rich enough to be eccentric, so I settle for quirky ).
Since 11 digits gets you the most finely machined cylinder, and 17 digits gets you to the moon and back, memorising more is an exercise in superfluous futility, to say the least. Strangely enough, that made it more appealing!
