Does that mean it's not okay to get started on higher priced items? When I first bid that much on a chip it was strange for me too!
But seriously, now that we’ve established the fact that this person is a casino chip, casino token, slot card, etc collector, I don't think it's fair to insinuate improper activities without additional evidence.
Another item for consideration is the high bidder’s feedback rating. He/She has 1,745 feedbacks (967 from unique members) with only 2 negatives. While I never like to see any negative feedbacks you’re bound to run across some yahoo that you can’t satisfy. I will agree that sometimes the feedback rating is not 100% reliable, but this appears to be a decent track record in my opinion.
Who knows… It may be the first time this person has paid that much for a chip (or the first time in a public transaction) and to suggest that he’s doing something improper is really not fair at all. Heck, maybe he doesn’t like expensive chips but he thinks that he can sell these chips separately for more money than he paid. Just because he bought them, doesn’t justify accusing him of wrongdoing in a public forum. Just the kind of thing that could drive away a potential club members.
I really don’t want to get into a debate over this. I don’t know this person and don’t want to be standing up for them. I was curious myself about it and after doing a little research, I still don’t see anything strange. I guess we can agree to disagree on this one.
I'm looking forward to Wednesday tournament. See you there!
