"I was told these chips were provided as a generic chip for BPOE elks lodges."
I just have to say something about that statement.
Chippers have a way of making up stories to conform to a chip. Especially if they are trying to sell it! Once the story is passed on its out there forever.
Question? Why would any distributor make generic chips for BPOE's when BPOE's were known for BPOE logoed chips. The W die would have cost the same to make as a generic die with "BPOE" and no lodge number on it.
Granted any lodge could have bought used chips and used them.
My attributation is from a person who had no interest in making money and certainly no reason to lie. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE RIGHT! I am not trying to get it in a book. Just putting out what I got 1st hand from a person who appeared to have 1st hand knowledge. I guess that comes down to 2nd hand knowledge.
What proof exists that they were used in BPOE's?
