Thanks for that Mark. The Mapes was my favorite while going to college in Reno--saw Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Mills Bros. in the Sky Room for a $3 (two beers) minimum!! I have all but two or three of the Mapes chips in a special display. So sad to see it go and so sad to see how Reno has gone in the last forty years. That said, it's still my favorite place to play poker especially now that virtually all of the Reno poker rooms are smoke free.
