Yesterday I stopped by the Desert Diamond Casino to see if anything was new. I guess it has been a while since I was last there, because I found two things that were decidedly different from my last visit.
First off, in the poker room, they have discontinued use of the highly worn Chipco rack. Indicatioons are that the entire Chipco rack ($1, $2, $5's (rack and LE), $25 and $100) have been retired. This is not to say that they are obsolete, just put away. I will try to find out what is to happen with them.
The second change is that the Chipco rack has been replaced with their PaulSon H/C blackjack rack, sans the $2.50. To replace the pulled $2 Chipcos, they have a new, yellow $2 PaulSon H/C that matches the entire blackjack rack.
As I said earlier, I evidently have not been there in a while, as all of the new $2 chips show wear!
I asked at the cage for uncirculated chips, but they said that they are all out on the tables!
All for now.
