I decided to check out the local library for some poker books, didnt seem to be many great ones, but i have just read Brian Mcnally's How to Play Poker and Win. It is a fairly thin book but good i thought. That same day i was still seeking a book so i hit the book shop. The only one they had was Phil Hellmuths Play Poker like the Pros....looks good to me!

I was trying out some tactics at my 50c - $2 weekly game.....worst cards i have ever been dealt. after countless rounds i had won one hand, and was down $50. i had to invest another $20 and managed to make it all back. Its hard to use these tactics on my friends, alot of it goes over their heads so any tactic is lost. the low nature of the investments also makes it hard to bluff anyone holding 2 pair or better.....i have to adjust i think.

Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who helped out with book suggestions and who offered any advice. i look forward to joining an online cash game at sometime.
