Pechanga opened their new expansion area on Wed. 11/10 so I paid a visit today to see what was new.

The new area is about equal in size to the previous main casino floor and has both slots and table games. A lot of the slots are in a no smoking area. The slots are about 70% Class II which are Video Lottery Terminals which are under dispute with the CA gaming authorities. These came from at least 5 vendors. The VLT's are now on the player tracking system but the still issue the red back TITO's while the Class III machines use the green back TITO's. The expansion area did not have a lot of players at mid-day today. A High Roller area is being built in the old Class II area between the old main casino and the new explasion area, as a result that part of the floor is walled off and somewhat makes it had to find the new expansion area. When the High Roller area opens in Jan. 2005 you sould be able to see through it to the expansion area from the old main casino floor.

As far as I could find no new chips we issued.
