I had a blast playing in 9 of the 10 ChipBoard poker tourneys. While I enjoyed playing, the chip bounty took a minor toll on my collection (small as it is) so I would also voice my vote in favor of either dropping the chip bounty or simplifying it to just a few chips.
As for the weekly entry fees... Anything over $11 per week would be too cost prohibitive to play for myself. My pokerstars account started out with $100 so I could play in the weekly tournaments and I managed to get in the money a couple of times so it wasn't such a big deal. Extending this out to 25 weeks and doubling the stakes would mean a much bigger bankroll to play in the majority of the series.
Love these poker nights as they are but if it starts requiring a lot bigger bankroll to keep playing then I'd have to pass.
I'd like to continue the tradition but please consider the smaller stakes folks who want to play as well.
Also - I'd love to have the tourney stick to Texas Hold'em instead of including Omaha, Stud, etc. Since the WSOP event is Hold'em - why not stick to that.
To lessen the weekly "chip bounty" issues, instead of a weekly bounty, why not just commit a few $5 chips up front and the top 3 at the end of the series each get a chip from everyone who played?
Loved the 1st series and would love to play in many of the next series but hopefully the stakes won't keep me away.
