No knockout chips is a good idea, that turned out to be confusing at times.

Would each weekly tourney only pay three places, or would that payout structure be based on entry numbers?

Having two initial WSOP tourneys to choose from is a definite plus for both those who don't live close to Las Vegas and those that might have to juggle work schedules.
