Here is my idea for the next set of tournaments...Since the World Series of Poker starts later next year (the first open tournament is June 3rd) we have "The Chip Board Road to the World Series!" Since we have the tournament next week & then there is Thanksgiving we could start this on December 1st & have a tournament every week through May 26th. That would be 25 weekly tournaments (skipping one week for December 31st).
We up the weekly tournament entry fee to $22 & the top three money winners each week will give up a portion of their winners to be used as an entry fee to the June 3rd No Limit $1,500 buy in tournament at the WSOP at the Rio. 1st would have to give up $30 of their weekly winnings, 2nd $20 & 3rd $10. That's $60 a week times 25 weeks for a total of $1,500 which is the entry fee. Then on the 26th week we have the top 9 finishers play a one table tournament & whoever wins plays in the WSOP tournament! The money they win on the 26th week can be used towards their expenses.
Now here is the kicker...If the person who goes to the WSOP event wins $10,000 or more they HAVE to parlay $10,000 & enter the final event which of course is the No Limit WSOP championship which could pay $10 million next year for 1st. Anything they win over the $10,000 in the $1,500 event they keep. If they win money in the $10,000 event they keep 50% & the other 50% goes to the other 8 players that were at the final table on the 26th week.
Ok...Give me your thoughts! Andy - Las Vegas
