Jim- I believe you are correct. Usually a Chipco chip will have a small "dimple" and a ridge along the edge of each chip. The dimple is caused by the making of the chip itself, while the ridge is where the "rolling" edges meet. As I said earlier I am no Chipco expert,just repeating what I have been told.
