Most discussion forums use nicknames (this one is actually a little different). I didn't know it was a problem for you. I have nothing to hide.

I've been screwed on a few chips early on in my collecting. That's how I learned a thing or two. If a collector sees a slabbed chip for $100 on eBay, then the same chip that is close to mint but not slabbed for $20, I think he will have the common sense to choose the right chip.

Don't get me wrong; I don't like slabbing. I've neve bought a slabbed chip, and I probably never will, unless I buy one to remove from the slab. Still, have you seen any examples of where we've been hurt by slabbers yet? When did the slabfree thing come out? Has to be at least 2 years ago, perhaps 4? I don't recall. All I know is that I signed it and forgot about it. How much damage has been caused by slabbers since then? Can you point to any specific examples?

I've sold chips for WAY over book price (some will remember the Peanut House $1 I sold for $100) on eBay, as well as many others. My point is that slabbing hasn't hurt me in the least. Now, I only sell the small stuff, so some of you dealing in much higher end chips might have a different take on this. I had a nice offline discussion with David Spragg and I've learned plenty already today, so my mind is open. Fire away.
