Re: Die-cut metal inlay jeton; circa 1948

I once listed some vintage plastic British casino jetons with a well known International auction house in Europe, and the cataloger described the pieces as being Mother-of-Pearl. When I read the auction description I phoned the cataloger explaining that they were pastic and not pearl. His response was: "Sir, I've been in this business for over 27 years and I know Mother-of-Pearl when I see it!" grin
