Very true, Rich...

I've made many contacts throughout the Carib and on our floating casinos in Florida, but one would think (with the exception of Germany where there are more chippers than in any other Euro country) with such a rich casino history as Europe, there would be more collectors. I'm now trying to locate the rarer material from the "short-lived" Italian casinos that opened just after WWII, and it's not too easy doing so. Yet, Italians collect playing cards and dice (vintage), but again... hardly any chips. Though there's some German and Poland material that made its way over to South America just after the war... much of it has been discarded (or rescrimshawed) and only a few remnants show up here and there. Again, finding the rarer, high-denom; low serial numbered material is my goal.
