Disregarding all of the linen vs. smooth finish possibilities, 14 different combinations of UV (and lack of UV) markings have been found on Luxor $1 chips.
While it was said by the Chipco representative that the there was only an intent to have matched markings (or lack of a marking) on opposite sides of each chip, it was known that some chips ended up as mis-matches. Those were considered as errors by Chipco, and happened many times.
In fact, it is quite possible that there are additional mis-matches out there and have not yet been noted by collectors, as there are 28 possibilities.
Again, these are strictly based on UN (or lock of UV) markings and has nothing to do with additional variations created by surface finishes.
