You are most definately correct that I should have had my camera with me. I do every other time. Somehow, it got packed this time. But still, that doesnt make the theft any less a fault of Delta.

You are correct in the idea to take anything you might need in a carry on. When I travel to the Caribbean, I not only pack in my carry-on a swim suit, my medication, cameras, clean t-shirt, etc.

This time coming from Vegas, my carry-on was full and heavy. I used a decent sized laptop carry case. In it was my lap top, and a gazillion chips, silver strikes, my cholesterol medication, some snacks, a small travel pillow (I have Delta experience and know I usually don't get a pillow), a couple of glasses from the Hard rock I bought as gifts, and various other items.
