You made it personal when you called the guy who bought the ad a liar more than once. You picked two words out of a sentence neglecting the rest of the sentence, negating the total message and put your own spin on the truthfulness of his statements without taking into fact the total message, much less the total sentence.

As I read it, the man came from humble beginnings, worked his butt off to get where he is able to afford such an expression of his beliefs, remains humble and thankful for the opportunities available to us in America, and he still gets labeled as being rich and egotistical. You actually made his point.
