A friend of mine is in the money-handling business. His company creates hardware and software to count and manage large amounts of currency and coin for banks, amusement parks, retailers, armored transport companies - businesses that deal in large amounts of cash. They've recently added a couple of casinos to their list of clients.

Which brings us to these chips... on a recent casino visit my friend was given these two samples but very little information about them. He was told they had imbedded tracking chips in them, but nothing about the specific use, manufacturer, etc. Anyone seen these before? Were they given out at the recent gaming expo in Las Vegas?
