I got a call from a buddy who was telling me a fella was offering an older set of chips for sale that had top hats around the outside, but no cane. I am a complete newbie at chip collecting but am currently looking for a nice set for my home games. Any idea what such a set would be? They are plain with no hot stamping or graphics.

What would be a fair price for a 300 pc set?
