In this case it is so obvious. Pyro fired ashtrays such as Casino and Advertising trays always had the ink fired on the bottom of the tray at high temperatures(3,000+ degrees) with heat stable ink.

This guy did not even do a good job of what he attempted to do. I have two of them setting here that Don Boyer sent to add to phony ashtray archives. They are pretty pathetic.

As, I said before, this is a rare occurence but it does happen.
