I'll have to inquire deeper. I got them from a retailer who is not a chip dealer (a sort of coin person who has his own store), who sent them to me on consignment with some other chips (on the BB now) for only a few dollars a chip, thereabouts. So he obviously did not make fakes to resell at so low a price. I'll try to find out where he got them from.
