Fake casino chips! What is going on here?

I also came across these two chips, which immediately looked peculiar -- very worn clay and bright looking new (with poor graphics) inlays. Couldn't find in the Chip Rack. Wow, I'm rich!!! Too bad, though, about the stick-on inlays and the Calif. Bell Club inlay underneath. Shhh, don't tell anyone!!

Maybe I have been asleep. Are there many fantasy fakes like these going around? With the Borland-type fakes one could argue that the chips look mint and were made for large playing sets, or had commemorative dates. These, though, look like they were meant to deceive, what with the very worn chips.
