As for management workers, they have to do what they are told to do. I have no idea if Todd is mangement or non-management but if he is mangement he would be crazy to not do as he was told.
BUT on 10/9/04, Todd wrote "They want full time floor supervisors and higher to vollenteer(sic) to go to Atlantic City for a week". http://www.thechipboard.com/cgi-bin/tcb/tcb.pl?read=368924 He apparently wasn't told he had to go there but was motivated by the prospect of making "a months salary in a week".
As for your Teamsters strike experience, I don't know anything about that. I did some googling to see if I could learn about it and the only thing I found was a Teamsters strike against "GES Exposition Services and Freeman Decorating" back in Sept. Seems management was wanting to require employees to work 173 hours in a month, instead of 86 hours in a month, to be elgible for health insurance. According to the article, it is mostly part time work. 98% of the 3200 union member voted it down. If that is it, management gets what they deserve.
Cheers!
Bill
