Sidebar on the Hotel California: One of my neighbor's sister was in charge of taking care of rock stars back in the 70's and 80's while they were recording in Florida. She was dating Eric Clapton when he named his album "XXX Ocean Street Boulevard" or something like that - Hell, I can't remember. Anyway, that's the address (and picture on the cover) of the house she arranged for him to stay in.

Anyway, she was hanging out with the Eagles the night they wrote Hotel California. She said they came downstairs with the lyrics written on a sheet of paper and handed it to her. They asked her and her girlfriend to listen to it the first time they played it. They left the sheet of paper behind.

What did she do with it? Drum roll, please.

She threw it away. Seriously!

Anyway, I had no idea that hotel was in Cabo. DAMN! I would have loved to have seen it. I did see the Hard Rock!
