Well that does verify some of our theories based on pure observation.

Sniping doesn't matter if you bid what you are willing to pay. I tried to snipe an auction while I was out of town this weekend. My bid wasn't even placed, because I was outbid, before the time came to throw in my offer.

And reserves make me hit the "next" button. grin

I'm still not sure about the idea that starting high, you might get a bid. I remember someone telling me he listed things for rediculous prices, in hopes that someone would think it was rare and bid.

I have also been (thankfully) outbid on something where there were ten of them up, nine for less, but someone must have figured I knew something about that one and outbid me. I made a mistake and was saved.
