I thought I had purchased a Borland Commemorative $1000 Landmark Casino chip on eBay. What I got was not a Borland manufactured chip. Instead it is a paste on inlay similar to the Borland inlay with opening and closing dates on a Paul-son Hat & Cane blank. Included with the purchase was a brochure of other products the company, Casino Marketing Concepts, Inc., is offering. They include framed wall displays, clocks, refrigerator magnet casino chips and chips in keychains. I know that they are meant to be souvenir items, but there is a problem. Some of the inlays are similar to Borland inlays with the opening and closing dates, not a huge problem. But other inlays look like ones on regular issue chips that were actually in use. The inlays are mounted on a variety of blanks from various chip manufacturers. This is going to be trouble down the road, unless someone, hopefully CCGTCC officials, can put a stop to this.
