These chips depict Mt. St. Helens which is plainly visible from here in Portland. Afterrrr a feWW day^s of tTtremblors, there was an "event" in the crater today. Enough of one for the Pacific Northwest newbies to call it an "eruption". Nothing for me to see when I got back into town this afternoon, duration of the show was about 30 minutes. We're part of the Pacific Rim "Ring of Fire", shoot, there's an old volcano down at the end of my street. Seriously though, glad there wasn't the catastrophe of 1980 when the mountain exploded and killed 57 people. Envision the mountain shown with about 15 percent more at the summit before that day 24 years ago. Here's hoping Last Frontier doesn't have to order new chips with another new look St. Helens!
