Julie (and others); Pease carefully read my posts again.
First of all ... I've never said that this development was good for the hobby.
Secondly; Having said that ... this hobby has survived the introduction of hundreds of fake and fantasy chips issued to date. The ones we know about are published on the club website as a service to ALL collectors, whether they are club members or not. I was personally involved in successfully getting Paulson to pull the Foxy Firehouse reproductions off the shelves several years ago as many club members will recall. These chips being proposed (if as described) should fool no knowledgeable chipper.
Lastly; The guy in all probability is going to produce these chips in one fashion or another no matter what. I have no vested interest in this venture, and I will not be a potential purchaser of his product, but I am thankful that he is being up front and telling us about them in advance instead of doing them behind our collective backs... AND PROMISES TO MARK THEM in such a way that will easily distinguish them from the real McCoy ... which some of our club members are NOT doing right now "as we speak" and very little is being said about that.
BTW: Have you seen the recent fantasy cathouse chips from Nevada?
