Oops, I should have been more specific. You can get food comps from most poker rooms in Vegas. At the Palms you can earn $1 an hour up to a max of $7 per day. Mandalay gives you a $5 certificate after 4 hours of play. I don't play too many other rooms as often so I'm unsure of their rates.

As far as a good game between 5-10 and 10-20, not many places spread 6-12 anymore with the emergence and popularity of NL which you can find in virtually any room nowadays. The Orleans spreads a 6-12 game as does the Mirage. Bellagio does an 8-16 game. For the best NL game hands down I would have to say the Palms is your best bet. It's a 2-5 blind $100-$500 buy-in NL game with plenty of locals and tourists. They spread between 3-4 games daily and you'll often see at least 2 go all night most days. Most other NL games are from the $50, $100 and $200 buy-ins or $100-$300 variety with 1-2 blinds up to 2-4 blinds.
