I was just stating some common sense. What part don't you agree with? Can you elaborate on which topic?
As far as Guns, it is a fact that was announced to the public that the NRA officially stated that they will back Bush's campaign after the assualt weapon ban was dead (pun intended). This is why congress and the Pres made sure there would be no more deadly weapons ban for everyone including the rootin', tootin', shootin' NRA population that votes for Bush. Do you think Bush cares about a gun policy or do you think Bush cares about getting another vote? Congratulations, pyros! You got your wish, no we can all hope everyday that a stray bullet, or should I say a stray hundred bullets (because they shoot so fast) don't hit us in the head because some drunk showoff wants to shoot his oozie for his friends to see.
As far as religion, another huge profit-driven business, the fact is, there are several religions that are present in this country and that means government and anyone else has no business forcing any particular one on other people. I believe that any religion that allows people to do bad (sin) but get away with it (confession) is as hypocritical as it gets. How convenient and selfish is it to think that I can do ewhatever wrong I wish, as long as I show up for church on Sunday and donate some money and sing some songs and confess. I believe in doing what is right, and that should not require that I gather at a particular meeting place (church) and dump more and more money into the cause (collection plate). Why should religion be so expensive? Because it shouldn't. It is an exploited business and is out of control these days.
As far as the SUVs, if you don't understand what a car's exhaust does to the atmosphere, then I suggest you watch Bill Nye, the Science Guy, he delivers proven knowledge in an easy to follow format and can clear that up for you real quick.
Everyone should know that tobacco companies donate tons of money to presidential campaigns and that is why they are allowed to do business. There is nothing for the citizens to gain from the tobacco companies except cancer. The fact is, tobacco is a huge business because not only do they make money for themselves, but they generate money for hospitals and doctors that have to treat the smokers who statistically get sick more often and are the ones who get cancer more often. So now the healthcare industry is profitting off of tobacco, so do you still think it is in the government's best interest to stop tobacco companies? No way!
So now I have further explained my topics that you questioned, and I am only wondering which one you can possibly not understand. Please let me know, and why not offer up some reasons why you disagree?
I also want to suggest that everyone watch bowling for columbine sometime. This is an excellent piece of work that is well overdue and I am glad someone took the time to speak up. We don't have anything to gain from hiding the truth so why do it? This is a clear picture of why many NRA activists are just people who are scared of the unknown or scared of other people, or who have a lot of hatred for others. Since there are no signs that we are going to be attacked by aliens anytime soon, why would you feel the need to own assualt weapons and military gear?
You know I really don't want to contine blabbing, but it is frustrating when someone asks if i really believe these issues above. I am very curious to find out what you DO believe in instead. Maybe you believe in magic and tooth fairies, and that the government doesn't allow a percentage of insect parts to make it into our public food system. Keep dreaming!
Please enlighten me! Don't just spit on your monitor and throw your keyboard, let me know why you disgree!
