What does everyone think of chip collecting in regards to:

1) growth / popularity rate.
2) The danger of buying more expensive chips, ie, not recouping anything close to costs if you had to sell them, and the possibility of big discoveries of chips leading to your big expensive purchase now being worthless.

any thoughts or other comments on similar matters would be appreciated.
