... any verifiable source which provides a statement by any of "our enemies" in which it is said that they "want Kerry elected"?
I've seen a lot of political rhetoric by conservative Americans, claiming that it "must be obvious" that al-Qaida would "prefer" Kerry because he would "less of an enemy" than Bush. But, I have yet to see an actual quote from any al-Qaida leader (or even an underling for that matter) in which it is said that they "want Kerry elected".
Personally, I'm not at all convinced they want Kerry to win. If I was an al-Qaida terrorist, I'd be pretty happy with the way things have gone under Bush. Osama hasn't been caught yet, Bush is concentrating most of America's military might in the wrong place (and, in the process, has gotten it bogged down for what will be years) and more Moslems than ever are being radicalized by our current policies.
BTW, Rich, I know you are on the conservative side, so (even though I am not a liberal, a democrat or particularly a Kerry supporter) I appreciate the eminently reasonable acknowledgement:
>> Obviously Kerry would fight Al Queda.
Disclaimer: I am a registered democrat, which I did for the California primary so I could vote for Wes Clark (what a different campaign this would be if the democrats had nominated him instead of Kerry!). Otherwise, however, I have been a lifetime registered DTS ("Declines to State", California's designation for "independent"), will reregister DTS for the general election and will either write in Wes Clark or vote for the libertarian party candidate.
