I believe the point is that in 1992, the fact that Clinton didn't serve in the military was a non-issue for the Democrats and in 2004, the fact that Bush served in the National Guard and didn't go to Vietnam is a huge issue to the Democrats. Is this a great country or what! You get to play both sides and make up the rules as you go along. Doesn't quite pass the "smell test" to me.
