"Advocates of the ban on "social card games" believe it would prevent Kenmore's one-mile commercial stretch along state Route 522 from becoming a gaming mecca -- a tinselly Las Vegas-style strip drawing unsavory poker players from the many neighboring cities (like Seattle) where card rooms have already been outlawed.
Out walking her Bichon Frise, Lily, 61-year-old Rita Gregory said gambling doesn't fit into the "family-type place with lots of kids and dogs" that defines Kenmore.
"You just expect the worst things to go on when there's gambling," "
So all of you unsavory types, give it up and go out and walk your Bichon Frise instead.
