Good points.
1) I have only had this scanner as long as this computer, which has always had Windows XP. I have never before tried the slide/negative feature, so I have no idea if it would have worked before.
2) Unfortunately, it is an Epson, not an HP. Although I have found it to be a terrifically accurate scanner, their website has been of no help whatsoever. I am beyond the warranty period, so I can't call them for help (I tried).
3) I have tried to fiddle around and trigger the slide function, but have yet to find a way to do it. I was hoping some computer guru on this board would know how.
4) I will try to reinstall the driver, a very good idea, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.
