for the "informed" chip buyers, but for the new collectors. I have had great success buying from Jim and, like you, base what I would pay for something using both The Chip Rack and James' book...and also on information gleaned from this BB with regards to new finds and such. But new "uninformed" collectors may see in Jim's auctions that a chip has a "published" value of $XXX where in reality the value may only be $X due to ...whatever, and don't have a price guide or knowledge of this BB. The interest is to protect the "uninformed" person from over-paying (at least that's my take on the subject). Steve B
