There's a system that the online sites use as a leaderboard point system. Here it is. I just copy and pasted this from the TLB on Ultimatebet.
The results of all tournaments in a given month are used to calculate your tournament score. Your tournament score is the sum of your inverted position in all of the tournaments you have played that month. It can probably best be viewed as the sum of the number of opponents you have beaten. For example, if Player A has played in 2 tournaments this month, finished 2nd out of 30 players in the first, and 49th out of 50th in the second, the player would have a tournament score of 29: (30 – 2) + (50 – 49). As you can see, the larger the tournament, the more opportunity you have to add to your score.
That is how its explained. The more I look at that I can see how labor intensive it could be.
