My point is that I don't think that the IRS's definition of "obsolete" is usable in our hobby. I certainly don't dispute that Mr. P said above (I wouldn't dare), but I would hate for the "legal" viewpoint of what constitutes posession of a chip to be infused into what is considered in our hobby to be the definition of obsolescence. They're two different things.
