I noticed a chip I wanted on eBay. It was a new release $1 chip (that went unsold at $1.99). The seller wanted $3 for shipping, extra if you wanted insurance. I emailed the seller and stated that I was interested in the chip, but I thought that the shipping charge was excessive. He replied back that he had to cover shipping, ebay and Paypal costs which averaged out to about $2 per chip. Without disputing the $2 (which is still excessive in my opinion) I asked about why is he then charging $3 and make a $1 extra profit on the shipping? No response. This guy sells a lot of chips on eBay and is a member of the CCGTCC. I told him that I would not bid on any of his auctions as long as he was charging $3 for shipping one chip.
