The seller used to be the cage manager at the 4Q before he was fired.
He ordered 500 of each of these chips without the knowledge of casino management. He then paid for them at face value ($250). At the time he was offering them on this very board at $15 each. He asked one dealer that he supplied to lie and say they got them from a table. Gene exposed him.
They were available at the cage. They were never used at the casino. IMO they may never have been accounted for in the 4Q inventory either. That may be one of the reasons he was fired. IMO they are not real chips.
The purpose of his email to you was so that if you wasted your time asking at the cage they may tell you he is the only person you can get them from. If they have any knowledge or sense they will also tell you 'We never saw those chips here'.
He has around 400 pairs left. He has sold the rest in the past. Most of them were sold before the truth got out.
Gene should be able to back all of this up.
