Dundee Rd in Palatine is about equal distance, maybe a little closer to me, than Itasca but knowing that there is an event every month gives me some opportunity to get a little more involved. One of the reasons that I let my CCGTCC membership lapse. Not being able to devote the time or money to the hobby in the last couple years. I have taken to harvesting and rescuing chips on my yearly trips to Las Vegas rather than buying online. A few of my NIS folks have even stopped sending me mail. Maybe not every month but I will put notes on my calendar for when I am free and looking for something to do.
