The return address of the sender, is "spoofed" and they aren't the real sender.
The mails you get saying your message was refused, means you name is on the list. (and no you didn't send it)
The virus/worm picks up all email addresses in the infected persons computer, cache, email software and anywhere it can find them.
The trap email box I have set up on TCB has been getting two infected emails a day for the last week and usually gets none.
I have received ONE (count em...) ONE spam advertisment to the trap mailbox and that was yesterday. Someone is not harvesting addresses from the BB. (yet)
That's why I wrote the first message a week ago, warning that someone had an infected computer. I hoped people would check their systems.
1) I also run Norton, full time. 2) I pick up messages from remote hosting, which means I delete the Spam and worms, before they get to my system. 3) I use Netscape which is immune to 90% or more of these attacks which target Outlook Express. 4) Everything I send out is scanned before it goes out.
So remember the name of the sender is NOT the person who actually sent it.
