(The Never Ending Saga)
I never contended that the chips were made for a casino or intended for play in a casino.
I do question the time, effort and expense to make fake chips that were sold off cheap, as some sort of plot to defraud people and make large sums of money.
About the dies.
The old ones were brass and lasted quite some time. The new (from what I've seen) are magnesium, cheap and generally self destruct.
I had a source in Michigan that would make these, but if you know someone else, maybe the "Pete's Palace" casino chips will get made some day.
I have a Kingsley machine now, about 20 fonts (none curved) a box of different foils. The eventual goal is to make a home play set out of some bulk chips. With the new Chinese imports, the blanks are cheap. I was going to re-stamp some old chips that I had laying around, or buy up a set of the CA card room obsoletes, that appear to be easily available.
But the main question is, do you have a cheap source for dies other than OSG(?) in Michigan?
