Rich, I understand that to be true with jpg format. Is it also true with gif and other formats? I have many scans that I have made over the years that I wish to be consistant and I am toying with buying a better scanner and rescanning (huge project) but I am not sure what format. Most use jpg but it is very lossy. Suggestions?
