no it stops somewhere in the middle. The crack is gapped wider on one side (you can feel it with a fingernail). If it were to break I would not try to hide the break but would glue it back together... Altering it in the purest sense, but if it's broken it's not ORIGINAL any more any way. LOL I always liked that chip.

You are right, I think an airtight will keep it safe from further damage.
