Below is the BARGE purple chip from 1999 that I thought I would never get.

Each year the BARGE No Limit Champion has made in addition to his chip sets, a single purple chip which numbers anywhere from 40 to 50. They get handed out to past champions & a few others. Lee Jones who won in 1999 (and is the PokerStars.com poker room manager) had the purple below made. I was close to getting one a couple of times & it never worked out. So, I gave up, thinking that they were all gone.

As it turned out, Lee moved a couple of blocks from BCC member Patrick Milligan a while back. Patrick was over at Lee's house & Lee said how much he appreciated all the work the BCC has done over the last few years to help design & make sure the chips get done. Patrick said that if he REALLY wanted to show his appreciation he could let each BCC member have a purple. Lee started looking for them & when he came up with the box it had exactly 7 purples left which came out to one each for the BCC members.
