Rick Said Mike must have been burnt by his employer/s. Mayby more than once. I don't know why he's so bitter about having to have worked for someone
No, but I have seen fine talant laid off due to a forced ranking system while enexperienced people were intreviewed to take their positions.
I have seen age discrimination where young people where hired a year earlier so they too could be 'sacfificed' with the older people to dilute the numbers.
I have seen good people cast aside after a life's career. Sure they had a lot of savings, no benifits, little to no retirement. Try buying your own health care at 52 with pre-existing conditions. The home you lived in for 25 years you can barely pay the taxes now. Paul says "Simple, Find another job" Try it. Compete with the college kids with the degrees that are beating the bushes.
I am bitter with corporate America. I have seen too much talant abused. Only to see a Mission statement start of with the line "We Value Our People"
Small businesses are not as ruthless as a big corporation because everyone is not so far removed. When someone stands up and boast that they did it all and paid their own way when actually the costs are passed to the customer and then do not even acknowledge the efforts of their employees seems pretty damn arogant to me.
Then to stereotype all people who are unemployeed, or recieving food stamps are frauds and undeserving is an insult to the people who genuinely need it. Their are many Military people on food stamps. And Paul asks "Why should the government be responsible?" Because the pay is so low? Because they are defending our counrty?
Employeers need employees and employees need employeers neither should take advantage of the other. Any justification of it is pure greed (on either side).
