In Moscow, when I was there a few years ago, they would not let you into a casino if you were wearing "sport clothes" (jogging suits, etc). Do not try to get in wearing Nike or similar shoes. They threw me out when they noticed I was wearing a pair of black New Balance shoes. They claim that it is "gangster dress". They were nice enough to refund my entrance fee however. Went back the next night in a pair of Hush Puppy Wing Tips & took them for $60 plus some chips. Its not the jails you need to worry about -- these casinos are run by Mafia-type outfits and there are a lot of very big guys hanging around. Good luck!
