Basically all the Sahara LV and many of the Sahara Tahoe chips were loaded into drums and buried in several new buildings and parking lots. Years later, they were dug up and the chips entered the collector food chain. The Sahara Las Vegas along with the Golf-course Dunes are probably the most common chips that were ever in actual play in Nevada.
It is nice to be able to put together Sahara sets from $1 to $500 for your collection at little cost. Some Sahara Reno chips were also salvaged but not nearly as many as from the other two sites. There are still a couple of scarce ones like the Reno $25 in coin-inlay style.
